As I walked through the doors, I was greeted with the comforting scent of garlic and herbs, a promise of the delectable Italian fare to come. The menu offers a delightful array of options, from creamy pasta dishes like the Pasta Con Piselli E Prosciutto, which gracefully blends prosciutto ham with peas and parmesan in a light chicken broth, to the heartier Baked Lasagna, layered generously with ground beef and ricotta cheese. Each dish speaks to the rich heritage of Italian cooking, crafted with love and a dedication to quality.

The seafood lovers in the house will find their paradise with Pasta Mare, a lavish combination of shrimp, scallops, and crab, tossed seamlessly in your choice of sauce. Meanwhile, those seeking vegetarian options will appreciate the Melanzane Alla Parmigiana, where tender baked eggplant layers meet molten cheese, accompanied by a side of spaghetti in rich red sauce. Each plate is a testament to culinary art, with flavors harmonizing beautifully to evoke the essence of Italy.

On my visit, the standout moment came with the Mio Trio appetizer, featuring a delightful mix of eggplant parmesan, ravioli, and formaggio fritto. Each bite was a celebration of textures and tastes. The staff was warm and attentive, ensuring every need was met without intruding on our dining experience. Many diners have remarked on the unexpected tranquility of the restaurant, making it perfect for date night or special celebrations—a sentiment echoed in customer reviews appreciating the ambiance and service.

Why is this place not busy on a Friday, when its DATE NIGHT?! We were one of a total of four couples, but you know how I feel about being able to hear my husband's words spoken, so it worked for us! I snagged their appetizer, Mio Trio, which was PLENTY of food; eggplant parm, meat/cheese fried ravioli, and formaggio fritto served with a side of marinara sauce. LOVED the eggplant! Wasn't a fan of the ravioli; just a little too dry for me bit that's just a personal taste. You... may love them! T grabbed the Chicken Parmesan, side salad that was all ice burg lettuce and left a lot uneaten. The balsamic dressing was bomb though! The dish comes with a side of pasta, and their naked version of angel hair with garlic (it has a kick at the end!!) sauce over it was chosen. T really enjoyed it, but wasn't my cup of tea. Wasn't really sure how to do the bread situation - they provided the garlic cloves, balsamic, parm cheese, and three rolls to have at it with. So, we made our own rendition of what we thought we were supposed to do with all of it. The rolls were amazing! Excellent comeback when squished (it matters!) I ALSO realized on this experience, I am NOT a Lemon Drop girl not their Lemoncello Lemon Drop was very lemony! IF YOU ARE a lemon drop kinda person, then this one is definitely for you! Side note: if you're sensitive to the smell of natural gas/gas know their gas meter is out front and there is a definite odor of gas in the building.

The flat bread was great. The crust was baked perfectly. It had the correct balance of tomatoes, cheese and basil. The service was fantastic. We enjoyed the ambiance. We would recommend Mio to anyone who enjoys Italian food.

Celebrated my birthday at Mio and had a great experience. Two of us had the chicken Marsala and it was delicious! Had a side of risotto and it was very creamy and satisfying. Liked the ambiance of an old Italian steakhouse. Parking was easy and close. I probably have a soft spot in my heart for this place because one my daughter's had her rehearsal dinner at the previous location across the street, plus the owners are a great family. Thanks for a memorable evening!

I came here for my birthday and was absolutely blown away by this dish! It is one of my new favorites in Omaha. Definitely worth the $32 price tag for a special occasion. The cheese ravioli was huge--I was able to eat 3.5 and had over half my meal leftover! The shrimp and scallops were cooked perfectly, and I loved the flavor of the white sauce--it tasted like seafood in a good way. The birthday dessert was a nice surprise too! Our whole table enjoyed a bite. I would be remiss to not mention the bread at the start of the meal. We got baskets of rolls along with plates to make up our own olive oil, vinegar, Parmesan, bruschetta, and garlic dip. So fun! I am a huge sauce/flavor person so I loved that we were able to make this ourselves. The biggest surprise of the night was how dead this restaurant was. We came on a Wednesday and saw 5/6 other tables--probably about 20% of their capacity. So disappointing considering how much we enjoyed the meal! We had great service as well. I will definitely be back to support this place!

We had the pleasure to have a very nice meal at Mio Italiano. A group of six of us was accommodated easily by the restaurant. The service was attentive without being overbearing. Misty did a great job! We split the checks, which she offered and did gladly. During the course of the meal, the manager came by to check on us, always a nice touch. We had a wide range of items off the menu. All of us were very happy with what was brought out. Good flavors, good serving sizes. The roasted ravioli and the calamari appetizers were very nice as well. The ambiance was nice, nothing special, but nice and comfortable. I would recommend it Italiano without reservation. Best ever, no, but a very nice meal provided by people who care. What more could you want?

We tried the newly opened Mio Italiano restaurant and found many things to like. The rooms seems brighter and more spacious. The acoustics are really good so we could hear each other. The wait staff is efficient and ready with refills as needed. I had the manicotti which was a generous portion. The menu said it was stuffed crepes, not pasta, but I didn't notice this until after I ate. Regardless, I liked the entree and would get it again. I added a salad, since it wasn't included. The salad was a run-of-the-mill dinner salad but was very fresh. I also had a glass of house Cabernet which I thoroughly enjoyed. Bookguy ordered fettuccine Alfredo and added scallops. He wasn't thrilled with his meal and wouldn't get it again. He disliked the texture of the pasta and wished he hadn't added the scallops, which he decided didn't add to the dish. He loved the garlic and bruschetta to go with the bread rolls. I thought the rolls were a bit dry, probably due to being warmed in the microwave. The desert menu looks wonderful so I predict we will be coming back just to try the deserts.
